Position Summary:
The Field Service Technician is responsible for providing outstanding customer service while troubleshooting and servicing trailers in the field. These activities should be conducted in a professional, timely and cost efficient manner. The Field Service Technician is expected to fully comply with all of Location Dickie Moore policies and all relevant laws and regulations. Success in this role will be dependent on the ability to conduct our operation’s activities in a safe, cost-efficient and high-quality manner.
Responsibilities of the Field Service Tech include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, in the shop and in the field.
- Operate company vehicle safely and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Perform repairs to mobile office trailers including framing and finish carpentry, electrical, flooring, plumbing, HVAC, painting, running gear, roofing and all other facets of mobile offices.
- Coordinate with the director or the service manager to schedule and manage field activities safely and efficiently in the field.
- Complete daily activities, work orders, service orders and truck inspection report.
- Maintain proper inventory levels of all equipment, tools, and materials required to complete service tasks. Report any missing parts, broken tools and problems with vehicle.
- Maintain truck in proper condition – clean and organized.
- Provide courteous customer service as needed over the phone and in person. Explain all repairs and services to the customers.
- Give a clear resume of the work performed after the service work order is given to the costumer, director or service manager.
- Form and maintain good relationships with external and internal customers at all levels of the organization.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform services related tasks in the yard, as requested by the director or service manager.
- Assist in unloading material deliveries if requested.
- Maintenance and repairs as needed on all properties of Dickie Moore Rental.
- Performs service, repairs or retrofits on mobile offices at the shop.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Job description – includes, but is not limited by:
- Install, Repair and service interior and/or exterior prefabricated products.
- Wash and wax floor.
- Wash windows and the interior of the office trailers.
- Paint the exterior of the mobile offices, ceilings, stairways etc.
- Load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment.
- Verify brakes and the running gear.
- Knowledge of the basic practices of the following trades are an asset: plumbing, electricity, carpentry, and mechanics.
Requirements
- High School Diploma (D.E.S.).
Valid Driver’s License.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Good physical condition to complete manual labor.
- Abilities to work safely with a wide variety of hand and power tools and materials.
- Strong knowledge of safe work practices and procedure typical for maintenance operations.
- Good sense of organisation.
- Team Player.
- Bilingual, spoken and written (english and french).

We are currently looking for a team member to join the Shipping/Receiving team located in Montreal, Quebec.
As a Shipper/Receiver, your role will require to receive and prepare rental equipments. As a member of our shipping team, you will ensure that our customer orders have been selected and shipped as needed. More specifically, your role will be to:
Responsibilities:
- Provide equipment to customers and provide information related to equipment or tool usage
- Inspect returned tools and equipment and communicate any damages to the team
- See to the routing of tools to the mechanical shop, the storage and rotation of the tools
- Prepare items planned for delivery and pick up
- Get involved in branch operations (inventory, branch image, etc.)
- Help drivers and customers load and unload their trucks
- Maintain a clean working area
- Assist with maintenance of the workplace.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in customer service (an asset)
- Attentive to customer needs
- Meticulous, courteous, and resourceful
- Capable of lifting heavy loads
- Bilingual (French and English)
- Knowledge of tool and equipment (an asset)

• Possess a class 5 driver’s license that meets the requirements of the Société de l ‘assurance automobile du Québec;
• Knowledge in JCB an asset
